Wyoming Supreme Court Hears Arguments in Sentencing Appeal

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - An attorney for a Sheridan teenager serving a sentence of life without parole for a 2009 home invasion killing urged the Wyoming Supreme Court to find the teen's sentence unconstitutional.

Sheridan County Awards Bid for Road Improvement Project

Sheridan County received three bids for the 2012 County Road Improvement Project. All three of those bids came in over the engineer's estimate of $1.1 million with the lowest bid still being 20 percent over the estimate.

Wyo. Supreme Court To Hear Appeal of Ernst Murderer

The Wyoming Supreme Court is set to hear arguments in the appeal of a Sheridan teenager convicted of murder in a 2009 home invasion killing.

The court on Wednesday will hear the appeal of Dharminder Vir Sen. He is serving a life sentence in the killing of Sheridan businessman Robert Ernst.

North Sheridan Interchange Open House Well Attended

The Wyoming Department of Transportation hosted an open house Tuesday night at the Historic Sheridan Inn that gave people an opportunity to view the preferred alternative, modified alternative 4, and to offer comment and ask questions regarding the proposed North Main Interchange.

Johnson County Approves Contracts With VOA

Contracts between Johnson County and Volunteers of America were agreed to in principle with one approved at the county commissioner's meeting Tuesday.

The approved contract was a renewal for VOA to provide juvenile detention and other services to the county for FY2013.

Buffalo Will Remodel and Beautify Front Of City Hall

At their meeting Tuesday evening, the Buffalo City Council approved a complete makeover of the entrance and front of City Hall.

Building Inspector Toby Rhoades brought a proposal from Buffalo Glass to completely remodel the entrance and reception area of City Hall.
